    Only Sergio can say for sure what was going through his mind at the time, but I find it so amusing how many “experts” on social media think they have the answer and are certain he did it on purpose to sabotage Max. Nobody can ever give any sort of reasonable explanation as to why a driver who had unquestioningly accepted the number two driver status and so often willingly sacrificed his own races would suddenly risk not only his car but also his career to try to keep Max from getting the better of him in this one race. Not only that, Red Bull had all the telemetry to pour over, Max was extremely upset, and people really believe that Red Bull would have still, as Jos ranted about later, gave Perez a preferred strategy the next day? people really believe that Marko would have tolerated that?! And given how Jos publicly criticized the team for helping Checo and not Max - put it in writing, even, on Max’s website - people really believe he and Marko would have just kept quiet about the matter? They really believe Checo would have still been racing at Red Bull the next year if he pulled something like that?? (And the report in the Dutch media that Perez actually confessed to Marko and Horner that he had done it on purpose is absolutely BS - 1st, because it comes from a journalist who heard it from a person who heard it from a connection at Red Bull, 2nd because, as stated before, Checo would no longer be racing there)

    I don't know why everyone is so pissed. Even if he did it on purpose, Formula 1 is all about tactics that have not been banned yet. You have billion examples of drivers using dirty tactics. You can hate or love them but it is a part of it. I mean we have seen entire teams use grey areas. It is better if they don't of course but you can't stop people it is our nature in the end.

    Shameless, the data is there. He knew he couldn't beat Verstappen in circumstances and never would be world champion, that's why he did it... maybe his only chance to have a major trophy...and he took it. 👎

    Pretty sure that, if Magnussen had stayed a tiny bit longer next to Perez, he would've avoided that penalty. He would've needed to ride the kerb, maybe even force the stewards to give Perez a penalty for not leaving enough space. That decision was definitely a difficult one

    Now that's I'm thinking, what Verstappen did in Brazil that year demonstrates how he REALLY doesn't care at all about any PR and he stood by his principles no matter what. You may disagree about how rigid he was with his vendetta, but he decided to be looked as a complete cold monster by not giving the position back to Perez, for something whose reason the world didn't even know really at the time (and in fact still don't know). It's incredible how this young man is absolutely old-fashioned when it comes to principles and revenge. Once he got it squared, he also didn't hold any single grudge towards Perez anymore. They shook it off and are all right with each other again, always laughing and fooling around in Red Bull videos (something that I know Max wouldn't feign if he didn't like Perez personally).

    Imagine being Max. You and your team were just grossly sabotaged by your teammate, knowing that this gives the direct competitor Ferrari a massive advantage, especially in Monaco. And it's completely clear to you what happened, yet nobody bats an eye. Then Ferrari does a typical Ferrari strategy and the teammate who sabotaged you gets preferential treatment in strategy, because he is the leading driver, purely because of the sabotage. Your teammate then wins the race and the team celebrates the win with him, while the media all write about him being a title contender and a threat. It's actually quite kind of Max to only respond months later by refusing to give his position up in the race...

    Honestly, i couldn’t care less about the Brazil Incident in 22, Perez was figthing for Second and he should be able to secure that against a Ferrari anyway, but everything points to this being on purpose, the sudden spin with no counter steering and him having to give Max the lead in the Spanish GP one week before Monaco just Gives the vibe that he wanted the win out of pure spite, RB had the Pace advantage in the race and with Sainz between him and Max RB would not be able to Switch the cars. Well planed by Checo

  • @Yes.-_-

    There’s so much wrong here that it’s just funny at this point 😂 what i’ve seen nobody mention is that after he had crashed he suddenly started counter-steering as if to make it look like he did try it.

    Alonso was following the McLaren line through the corner of wide in, tight out. Stroll cut in from the wide line to about middle of the track before the apex, closing the space he and Alonso had and was different to the drivers ahead who gave others room on the inside. Alonso didnt really have time to react to Stroll while following his planned line choice and distracted himself from blaming Stroll by saying Hamilton was the cause. Yes Hamilton was too quick into the corner but you expect that sort of driver error and Alonso could have accounted for it but not Stroll at the same time. It looks more like a Stroll, then Hamilton incident, Alonso and Norris are the innocent ones.

  • @dvas2686
    @dvas2686 8 часов назад

    The reason there is this difference is because in the first crash, he is entering a high speed corner after the front straight and trying to keep entry momentum up for the subsequent long uphill section. In the second crash, he is entering a low speed corner with lower entry speed and in a lower gear and trying to get on the gas as early as possible to exit early and make the most of the mostly straight tunnel section. Entry/Momentum corner vs. slow entry/exit corner.
